Our Onboarding Process

Schedule a call with Mark to discuss your situation. During this session, we'll address any immediate financial concerns you may have and provide more details on our service model and pricing. If there is a potential fit, we'll coordinate a follow-up meeting to dive deeper into your situation and how Taurus Financial Planning can serve you.

Get to Know You

1

Similar to the first meeting, there is nothing to buy in this meeting. Before you pay a penny in fees or trust us with your savings, I want you to see the value. The goal of this session is to learn more about your situation and goals. For this meeting, we will ask you to provide a few documents to make the best use of time. At the end of the meeting, I'll ask if you want TFP to do a more in-depth analysis of your situation at no cost and no obligation to you.

Discovery

Mark will review and analyze your information to create a one page opportunity summary.

Analysis

3

We will review the one page opportunity summary with you. Again, the goal is to help you made an educated and informed decision on selecting a financial advisor. At the end of the meeting, the one page summary is yours to keep. At this point, we will part ways and you will decide if TFP can deliver value worth a multiple of the fee.

Services

Taurus Financial Planning offers comprehensive wealth management consulting to individuals and families utilizing a Goals-Based Framework. Our service includes holistic financial planning, investment management and tax planning.

Our Process

Our approach to wealth management is goals-centric meaning that the client-advisor relationship is entirely focused on helping clients manage and allocate their resources to fund their future goals.
Since clients have multiple goals and these goals differ in funding amount, time horizon and importance to the client, plans are highly customized to the client’s goals.

Your Goals

The process begins with you, the client, dreaming of the future you want to live.

Financial Objectives

Together, we’ll spend time translating these goals and dreams into financial objectives such as the funding requirement, time horizon and level of importance of each goal.

Custom Plan

Next, we design and start to execute your plan. From portfolio construction and management to tax planning, at TFP we are committed to executing, monitoring and, if necessary, adjusting your customized plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • There is no minimum account size to work with us. We want to build long-term relationships with clients and grow together over time.

  • The vast majority of TFP’s clients are working professionals who are still in the process of accumulating wealth to achieve their future financial goals. These clients typically have their most important financial decisions still ahead of them, and we aim to guide them through the journey.

The clients who benefit most from our services are those who have a clear vision of (or an interest in discovering) their future goals, are actively engaged in the process, and view financial markets as a tool to help them reach these goals.

  • We offer a transparent and competitive fee structure for our Comprehensive Wealth Management service which includes investment management and financial planning.

The service is billed as a blended percentage of the assets we manage for you. The fee adjusts based on the value of your portfolio. When your portfolio grows, our fee grows and if it decreases, our fee decreases as well. As an example, if TFP manages a client portfolio worth $1.5M, the annual fee is $13,000 ($1M X 1.0%) + ($500K X 0.6%).
